The ceremony also includes closing of both international gates and the lowering of both the flags.

It has now been converted into a magnificent park and is managed by the Jallianwala Bagh National Memorial Trust. The memorial of the massacre was inaugurated on 13th April 1961 by Dr Rajendra Prasad.
