Known as the official flag carrier of Greece, Aegean Airlines is the largest Greek airline by total number of passengers carried. Along with that, the airline is also the largest airline in terms of number of fleet and destinations served. Cabin Configuration 

The airline offers two different cabin classes on board including Economy and Business class. Apart from these two cabin classes, customers can also choose between different fare types which includes light, flex and comfort flex. 

Economy Class 

Passengers travelling on Aegean flights can choose their desired seat after paying a decent seat selection fee up to 3 EUR. The airline allows passengers to travel with one carry-on baggage weighing up to 8 kg with maximum dimensions 56 x 45 x 25 cm on domestic flights.

On international flights, passengers can travel with one carry-on baggage weighing 8 kg with maximum dimensions 56 x 45 x 24 cm for the Airbus fleet. The airline also allows passengers in Economy class to cancel their cancellation by paying cancellation fees ranging between 40 EUR and 45-47 EUR. 

Business Class

Aegean Airlines offers business class services to customers who wish to experience comfort and leisure while travelling. Every business class seat features leather seating with extra pitch with the middle seat always vacant for extra personal space and comfort. Every business class passenger can experience gastronomic wonders on board with delectable Greek flavours and local products curated by 3 Greek executives chefs. You can also customise your experience by making a preorder booking up to 24 hours before the scheduled departure. Passengers can also enjoy multiple benefits like airport priorities like dedicated boarding and check-in counters, extra baggage allowance, free ticket changes, wifi onboard.  

Aegean Baggage Allowance 

As per Aegean baggage allowance, the baggage allowance depends on several factors like destinations, flight fare, and cabin class. The airline advises passengers to check the specific baggage information either on the official website or booking details of the flight. 

• Economy passengers travelling on light, Flex and Family are not eligible to carry free baggage allowance. 
• Economy Comfort Flex and Saver passengers can carry one piece of baggage weighing 23 kg with total dimensions of 158 cm (62 inches). 
• Business class passengers are eligible to carry two pieces of baggage weighing 32 kg each with maximum dimensions of 158 cm (62 inches). 
• Passengers travelling on Miles + Bonus Gold and Star Alliance Gold members can travel with three baggage weighing 32 kg in business class and 2 pieces of baggage in 23 kg and 1 piece of baggage in Economy Light and Flex fare. 

Carry-on Baggage Allowance

Economy Class

Passengers travelling in Light fare are eligible to carry one piece of carry-on baggage weighing up to 8 kg with maximum dimensions of 56 x 45 x 25 cm that can be stored in the overhead bins in the cabin along with one personal item like handbag, suitcase, briefcase, laptop bag that fits under the seat of the passenger. 

Flex, Family, Comfort Flex, and Saver Fare 

Passengers travelling on these fares are entitled to carry two pieces of baggage weighing up to 8 kg with dimensions up to 56 x 45 x 25 that should be stored in the overhead bin in the compartment. 

Business Class 

Business class passengers are eligible to carry two pieces of baggage weighing 13 kg with dimensions up to 56 x 45 x 25 cm that should be kept in the overhead bin along with one personal item like handbag, suitcase or laptop bag.

Aegean Airlines Check-in   

The airline check-in policy is quite flexible and offers multiple ways to check-in. 

Passengers can check-in 48  hours to three hours before the scheduled departure. The easiest way to check-in is via the official website of the airline or you can complete check-in at the airport. 

• The online check-in time starts 48 hours before the scheduled departure and closes 30 minutes before the flight is airborne. 
• The airline offers both mobile and website check-in for a convenient check-in process. 
• At the airport, the check-in starts 24 hours to 30 minutes before the flight is scheduled to depart. However, the airport check-in time may vary depending on the departure airport. 
• The airline also offers self-kiosks to customers so that passengers can avoid long queues at the counter. 
• Children under the age 14 need to be accompanied by a companion of age at least 16 years old. 
• Passengers are advised to reach the airport at least 3 hours before to complete check-in and submit baggage timely. 

Aegean Airlines Cancellation and Refund Policy 

The airline has a flexible yet strict cancellation policy that enables customers to cancel their flight without hassle. 

• The airlines offer a 24 hours cancellation policy that allows passengers to cancel their reservation within 24 hours of making the reservation to get full refund without incurring cancellation fee. 
• The airline also allows passengers to cancel their flight 30 minutes before  departure by paying a cancellation fee of 20 EUR. 

Cancellation Fee 

• If passengers cancel their flight within 24 hours of making the reservation without any cancellation fee. 
• If a passenger misses the free cancellation window, they will have to pay a certain cancellation fee based upon the timing and destination of the cancelled flight. 
• Passengers who cancel their flights within 24 hours before scheduled departure of the flight, will have to pay cancellation fees ranging between 100 USD to 500 USD. 
• The cancellation fee is based on the type of flight whether it is domestic or international, the class of ticket and time of cancellation. 

Aegean Airlines Refund Policy 

The airline offers a standard refund policy which enables customers to secure an adequate refund after cancellation or delay of the flight. 

• Passengers can claim a complete refund if they cancel their flight within 24 hours of making the reservation. However, the passenger must ensure that the flight has a scheduled departure at least after 7 days of making the reservation. 
• The airline usually refunds the amount approximately 7 to 20 business days. 
• As per Aegean refund policy, if a passenger fails to cancel the flight within 24 hours before the flight departure then the airline allows it to cancel the flight within 3 hours before the flight. 
• If the passenger has booked the flight via a third party, then the passenger must seek cancellation from the third party. 
• Passengers must seek a refund through the same way they were purchased by the passenger.
