About Oman

Oman Air is the official flag carrier of Oman with headquarters in Muscat International Airport. The airline was launched in 1993 as a regional airline but it operates on more than 50 international destinations around Europe, Far East Gulf, Asia and Indian Subcontinent. The airline currently has 45 aircrafts in its fleet with a mix of Airbus A330s and Boeing 787 dreamliners.

Oman Air First Class 

The First class cabin represents Omani designs heritage for a distinctive interior that is influenced by the origin of Oman Air. The cabin class features a unique arch shape on the feature wall and on each private suite door. The new suite is also designed with additional features like extra tall and soft closing suite doors and extra cushioned leather seat. The first class seats are also equipped with personalised features, intuitively controlled through the touchscreen panels at your console. 

Passengers travelling on First class can enjoy culinary excellence aboard along with premium beverages like delectable wines and cocktails. The airline also extends the hospitality on board with an exclusive amenity kit bag that consists of quilted duvets, cotton sleeper suits, slippers, dental kits, mouthwash, silk eyeshades, hairbrush, socks and ear plugs. 

Oman Air Business Class

Business class offers exquisite services on board to passengers. The business class seats offer more exclusive privacy with higher partitions and doors. Every seat in Business class is equipped with seats that turn into fully flat beds that feature USB ports and charging ports along with 27 inch and 4K monitor inflight entertainment and noise-cancelling headphones. In addition, passengers can also utilise the 17 inch inflight entertainment that offers a wide range of movies, music and tv shows. 

Passengers can indulge with ornate facilities available in the lounge including excellent food, inspirational reading material, spa and wellness facilities. 

Oman Air Baggage Allowance 

Oman Air offers a generous baggage allowance to its customers. Known for offering exquisite services and that includes offering hefty baggage allowance. The baggage allowance usually depends upon the class of fare purchased by the customers. 

Passengers flying in the Economy Saver Fare are allowed to opt out for carry-ing any checked baggage however they are still entitled to carry hand baggage weighing 7 kg on board. 

Checked Baggage 

The checked baggage allowance depends on the class of service and fare type purchased by the customer. 

First Class 

Passengers travelling in First Class are eligible to take 50 kg of checked baggage on board along with a handbag. Those who are travelling in elite First Prime fare can carry baggage weighing up to 50 kg on board. Passengers must ensure to distribute the weight into two bags as one bag must not weigh more than 32 kg and the total dimension of 158cm. 

Business Class 

The airline offers different levels of services in business class which includes Business Light, standard business class and business prime. However, all the passengers are allowed to carry baggage weighing not more than 50 kg.  Passengers must ensure to distribute the weight into two bags as one bag must not weigh more than 32 kg and the total dimension of 158cm. 

Economy Class 

Passengers travelling on Economy class have multiple choices from which includes Saver, light, Smart, Prime. Except for Economy Saver, passengers of Economy light, Economy smart and prime are eligible to carry checked baggage weighing not more than 30 kg. However, the dimension must not exceed 158cm. 

Hand Baggage 

All passengers travelling on Oman Air are allowed to carry hand baggage irrespective of any class. 

First Class 

Passengers travelling on First class are allowed to carry 2 hand baggage weighing 7 kg on board. First Class Prime are allowed to carry 2 hand baggage weighing 7 kg with dimension of 115cm.  

Business Class 

The airline allows passengers travelling in Business class to carry 2 hand baggage weighing up to 7 kg with dimension of 115cm. Irrespective of fares classes, all business class passengers are allowed to carry hand baggage. 

Economy Class 

All the passengers travelling in Economy are eligible to carry 1 hand baggage weighing up to 7 kg with dimension of 115cm. Passengers travelling with infants are eligible to carry 10kg  of extra baggage for all fares except Economy Saver.

Oman Air Check-in Policy 

• As per the check-in policy, the online check-in starts 24 hours before the scheduled departure and closes 90 minutes before the flight is airborne. 
• Passengers who are check-in at the airport must arrive at the airport at least 2-3 hours before the scheduled departure. 
• The airport check-in starts no later than 3 hours before the flight departure while it closes 60 minutes before the flight is airborne. 
• Passengers can also check-in at the airport through the self-service kiosk that allows passengers to check-in their baggage as well. 

Oman Early Check-in 

The airline also offers early check-in to passengers who are travelling from the airline’s main hub at Muscat International Airport. The early check-in check-in at the airport starts 8 hours before scheduled flight departure. The airline recommends passengers to check-in 60 minutes before the scheduled departure; however, passengers must reach the boarding gate at least 45 minutes as the gate closes 20 minutes before the flight. 

Oman Air Cancellation Policy 

As per the cancellation Policy, the cancellation is only applicable to the unused flight bookings. On certain bookings, the cancellation fee may be applied as per the fare rules. 

• The cancellation policy is applicable to the refundable as well as non-refundable fares. 
• The airline allows passengers to cancel their flight within 24 hours to claim full refund as long as the booking is reserved at least 7 days before the scheduled departure. 
• Any reservation purchased through the official website of Oman Air is eligible for cancellation via managed booking available on the website. 
• Passengers can cancel their flight up to 3 hours before the scheduled departure for international departure. 
• The airline can cancel the flight in case of extreme circumstances. 
• As per airline, if the flight is cancelled by the airline then passengers are entitled to receive full refund or alternate flight.  

Oman Air Cancellation Fee  

The airline is known for offering a customer-friendly cancellation policy. As per Oman Air cancellation policy, the airline’s penalty will be applied to per passenger booking. The cancellation fee depends on the fare type purchased by the passengers along with the time of cancellation of ticket.

Oman Air Refund Policy 

Passengers can get a full refund against their flight fare if the slight segment is unused. However, the refund policy is also subject to the airline’s cancellation penalty.

• As per the airline’ refund policy, if the airline is unable to offer a seat due to overbooking then it will offer a refund on the difference of fare. 
• The airline can refuse a refund if a passenger has requested for a refund after 12 months from the date of issuance. 
• The airline usually issues refunds within 10 business days for booking made with credit card and 20 business days for tickets purchased through debit card or cash. 
• Passengers can receive full-refund if they have cancelled their flight within 24 hours of booking the reservation. However, passengers must ensure that the booking has been made at least 7 days before the date of departure. 
• In case of missed flights, passengers will be entitled to receive a refund or alternate flight to their destination.
