Moreover, there is an Iberia flight change policy which allows passengers to make changes in their tickets in accordance with the airline. 

Iberia Flight Change Policy

Iberia regularly updates its policies and guidelines for the betterment of its passengers. Before making changes in your flights, it’s best that you take a thorough read of the Iberia Airlines change flight policy, in order to avoid unnecessary discrepancies and change fees.

• The flight change policy of Iberia Airlines allows passengers to make changes to their flights free of cost within 24 hours of booking. 
• If the price of the new ticket is more expensive than the older one, then passengers are entitled to pay the fare difference and taxes even if the changes are made within 24 hours of booking. 
• If your new flight costs less than the older one, then the residual balance will become non-refundable and will be waived off by the airline.
• Iberia change fee in attribution to date, time, anime or route change is non-refundable. 
• All flex fare ticketed passengers are exempted from paying any change fee. They are allowed to make changes in flights even before scheduled departure free of charge.

Iberia 24 Hours Flight Change Policy

• Iberia flight change policy allows passengers to make flight changes free of charge within 24 hours of booking.
• If the passenger is not able to make changes within 24 hours of booking, then you will have to pay a change fee depending upon the flight route and type of the ticket. 
• If the amount of the changed flight is more than the previous flight, then the passenger will have to pay the fare difference even if the change is made within the 24 hour free change window. 
• Tickets purchased using gift certificates and e-travel certificates are exempted from this policy.

Iberia Name Change Policy

• Iberia modify flight policy allows passengers to make name changes free of cost, when they do so within 24 hours of booking. 
• As per the airline, passengers can make changes to first, middle, and last name and only upto three characters.
• Iberia doesn’t allow any passenger to make name changes in the ticket of another passenger. The change in ownership is strictly prohibited by the airline. 
• All passengers whose flights are booked with car and hotel bookings can make name changes by contacting the customer support number of the airline.

Iberia Seat Change Policy

• As per seat change policy of Iberia Airlines, the change fee charged for making upgrades to extra legroom seats and premium economy seats is non-refundable. 
• Passengers are allowed to make seat changes upto 48 hours of scheduled departure. 
• The seat change or any such alterations are not allowed after the check-in procedure as per the guidelines of Iberia. 

Iberia Date Change Policy

• As per Iberia flight change policy, passengers are allowed to make date changes via the official website. 
• The date change request must be completed upto 48 hours prior to the scheduled departure. 
• There are no limitations to the number of changes made in the date of the flight as long as the flight booking is valid. 
• After completing the Iberia flight date change request, passengers will have to rebook any meals, seat assignments, or special requests that have already been booked. 

Iberia Time Change Policy

• Iberia Airlines allows the passengers to make flight time changes. A fare difference and a change fee might be applicable, depending upon the route and ticket type. 
• The time change request must be completed upto 48 hours prior to the scheduled departure. 
• In case of lower fare difference than the original booking, the residual balance will not be refunded to the passenger. 

Steps To Change Iberia Airlines Flights

• Visit Iberia Airlines.com from any browser(Safari or Google Chrome)
• Click on the cancel/change tab.
• Add your ticket credentials and hit the search button.
• Choose the flight you want to change.
• Click on Select new flights.
• If you had booked a round-trip, both your departure and return destinations will appear. 
• After choosing your flight, make the changes and confirm them.
• Iberia Airlines will send you a confirmation over your registered email. 

Iberia Flight Change Fee

• All the flights canceled after 24 hours of booking are entitled to a change fee as decided by the airline. 
• As per the Iberia Airline change flight policy, a change fee is charged differently for all types of the tickets. 
• Flex Fare is exempted from paying any change fee. Except that all other fares are charged as following:

Iberia Same-Day Change 

• Iberia Airlines same-day change policy states that beginning 24 hours prior departure time, all passengers can make changes to their flights, scheduled for the same day as travel.
• The same-day changes are only allowed for flights operating within Europe, North America, and trans-atlantic regions.
• If same-day flight changes are not available due to any circumstances, then the passengers are eligible for a “stand-by” system for the next available flight. They can wait for an open seat on a different flight.
• For same-day changes, passengers will be charged a change fee of USD 75 for domestic flights and USD 150 for international flights. No fare difference shall apply.
• As per the airline’s guidelines, the Basic fares are not eligible for same-day changes. 
• Iberia same-day change is not permitted if a passenger wants a flight change from connecting flight to non-stop flight.
• If your ticket is refundable, then no change fee will be charged. However, a fare difference might be applicable. 

Iberia Flight Upgrade

• Passengers with Economy tickets can ask for a flight upgrade to Business class by using Avios or setting a bid. 
• During the web check-in process, you can also buy a ticket for higher class. You can do so upto 24 hours prior scheduled departure. 
• With a flight upgrade you will get added perks such as comfortable seats, priority boarding, access to airport’s lounges, premium wines, and other luxurious amenities.
