Similar to other airlines, Air Malta also understands that there are many cases when a passenger is bound to cancel or modify their flight booking. In order to assist them, the airline has created an Air Malta change flight policy. Using this policy, they can make necessary changes in their reservation, instead of canceling the entire booking. On that note, here are some key highlights explaining the terms and regulations of this policy.

• The flight change policy of Air Malta says that you can make changes to your flight for free provided that you do so within 24 hours of booking.
• If you’ve booked flights from the official website, then you will have to make changes through the website only.
• Under Air Malta flight change policy, a ‘manage booking’ section is created. It allows you to make changes in flight travel dates and time, select seats onboard, and change passenger contact details.
• If your tickets are booked through a third party agent, then you will have to ask the concerned agent to make changes to your flights. 
• If your new flight costs less than the older one, then the airline will credit the entitled fare difference to your original source of payment. However, if the new fare is less than the older one, then the remaining amount will be forfeited.
• Changes will only be allowed for bookings made through the site and customers will not be able to change bookings which have already been amended through the Call Centre or Air Malta Sales Office. Tickets must also be completely unused.
• The airline is currently working on further developments of the policy which will be launched soon. 
• These upgrades will allow customers to change the booked destination and amend partially flown tickets. Furthermore, customers will also be able to change bookings purchased through call centers and / or through the Air Malta Sales Office. 

Air Malta Change Fee

• According to Air Malta flight change policy, a change fee will be charged if you make any changes in your flight after 24 hours of flight booking.
• No change fee will be charged for First and Business class till 1 hour prior to departure.
• Last minute flight changes in First and Business class are subject to availability and penalty as decided by the airline.

• Go to “Manage My Bookings”
• Enter the booking reference and last name
• Click “Continue”
• Select the changes you wish to make and click confirm.
• The changes will be saved and a new e-ticket will be issued. 
• You will also receive a confirmation mail and SMS on your registered email id and phone number.
