Thai Airways Cancellation Policy

Thai Airways (TG) is regularly updating its cancellation and refund policy, to keep it flexible and affordable for the passengers. You don’t have to worry about the last-minute cancellation charges with Thai Airways flights reservations. Under Thai Airways’ cancellation policy, you can cancel your flight and can claim a refund if you meet under these criteria:

• Thai Airways’ cancellation policy states that passengers do not need to pay any cancellation fee if the tickets are canceled within the same day of booking.
• After the completion of the allotted period, the passenger needs to pay a cancellation fee for claiming a refund as per the Thai Airways cancellation policy.
• If a passenger fails to pay board, the whole ticket fare will be forfeited by the airline as a No show fee under Thai Airways Cancellation Policy.  
• If you cancel the flight after 24 hours then, Thai Airways will withdraw the cancellation fee from your ticket fare.
• The passengers can cancel their Thai Airways flights only if the booking is made from the Thai Airways official website, customer support, or concerned airport counters.
• The amount of the Cancellation fee differs for both domestic and international flights and it totally depends on the destination, flight route, and other conditions.
• The Thai Airways 24-hour flight cancellation policy is applicable on both refundable and non-refundable flight tickets, irrespective of the destination for both domestic and international.

Refund Policy

• As per the Thai Airways (QR) flight cancellation and refund policy, the passenger is eligible for a full refund if the flight is canceled within 24 hours from booking. The refund will be given back to the original mode of payment.
• The validity of the refund ticket is 12 months from the date of issue for the whole unused ticket and the 12 months from the first uplift ticket for the half-used ticket.
• The refund amount will be credited within the seven days if you bought your tickets with a credit card and if you have bought the tickets with the cash, cheque, or any other form of payment then it can take upto 20 business days to issue the refund.
• The refund of the Thai Airways (TG) flight tickets depends upon various factors such as flight cancellation, technical glitches and others.
• If the flight is affected by the flight cancellation due to severe weather conditions or any government travel restrictions then you can also claim a refund.
• In case of the death of a passenger or any close family member of the passenger, Thai Airways issues a full refund after verifying the valid documentation like Death Certificate.

Baggage Policy

• Baggage Allowance may vary from the flight and the booking class. Thai Airways has its own limitations on the baggage allowance.
• The baggage policy of the Thai Airways (TG) allows you to carry a single piece of checked-in baggage that should not weigh more than 30 kg (66lb).
• The maximum dimension irrespective to length, height, and width of baggage should not exceed 158cm (by piece) and 300 cm (by weight).
• If you carry more bags than the permitted allowance or your bags exceed the permitted weights then you will be charged with an additional cost.
• The personal item bag is considered as the laptop bag, a handbag that should be allowed baggage size to fit in the overhead bin of the aircraft.

Carry on pets

• Thai  Airways allows dogs, cats, and birds as a checked suitcase either on your flight or the separate one in accordance with the air travel regulations.
• Hence, for a smooth journey with your pets, you must notify them about your requirements to travel with your pets at the time of booking.
• If it is not possible then you must notify at least 48 hours before the departure to avoid any inconvenience.
• Before traveling with the pets in Thai Airways you need to make all the important documentation for your pet available before travel such as a health certificate which should be signed by your veterinarian that indicates that your pet is fit to fly and the pet passport or identification.

Booking Fee

You do not have to pay any fee if you purchase the ticket from the Thai Airways official website. However, if you want to modify the purchased tickets by phone or at the counter of Thai Airways then it will charge you the starting fee of $25 as their service charge which is non-refundable.

Check-in and verification

• Thai (TG) offers an option for online check-in through the website and the app available in the play store from where you can book your favorite seat or issue your boarding pass conveniently.
