About Vueling Airlines 

Founded in 2004, Vueling S.A is a low cost airline based at Viladecans in Great Barcelona with a hub at Barcelona-El Prat Airport. The airline has multiple hubs around the world such as Paris-Orly Airport in Paris, Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport in Rome and few more. It is also the second largest airline in Spain by both fleet size and number of destinations. Currently, Vueling Airlines has 155 destinations with 125 aircrafts in the fleet.

Vueling and Cabin Classification 

The airline features a single Economy Class cabin, however, customers can opt for preferred seating with extra legroom toward the front of the plane by paying slightly extra charges. 

Space One  

• Passengers travelling in Space One can enjoy the advantage of having extra legroom seats compared to Basic Economy class. 
• Also, passengers travelling in Space One on Vueling flight can take advantage of Priority Boarding, 2 carry-on luggage, seating in row 1 seating which is placed in front of the plane. 

Space Plus 

• Those who are travelling on Space Plus can enjoy more legroom than Space one. The Space Plus Seats are usually located in row 2-4. 
• Passengers on this fare class are eligible to enjoy priority services like boarding at the airport. 
• The airline allows passengers to carry two pieces of baggage in the cabin as well. 

Space 

• This fare type also offers extra legroom seats just like Space Plus and Space One. 
• However, passengers travelling in this fare type cannot avail priority boarding or carry 2 carry-on luggage. 

Front and Back Row Seat   

• This fare is for those passengers who like to travel budget friendly as Front and Back row does not offer any benefits. However, this fare is the most economical fare in Vueling Airlines for passengers who want to travel with minimum baggage.

Baggage Allowance 

Vueling baggage policy offers sufficient baggage allowance which enables passengers to travel with adequate baggage. However, there are certain regulations on baggage allowance for passengers to avoid any additional charges. 

• Hand Baggage
  All passengers travelling in Vueling Airlines are permitted to carry one handbag free of charge with a dimensions of 40 cm x 20 cm x 30 cm. 
• Carry-on Baggage
  Passengers that have purchased the bundle of Fly or Fly Grande can carry a cabin bag of maximum weight of 10 kg with dimension of 55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm. These carry-on baggage should be placed in the designated overhead bins. For those who want to purchase carry-on baggage, will have to pay 24 EUR – 59 EUR  if they are purchasing via online method. If passengers have purchased the carry-on baggage at the airport counter then they have to pay 55 EUR – 75 EUR. 
• Checked Baggage
  The total dimension of checked baggage should not exceed 158 cm. Those who are flying on Fly Bundle or Fly Grande on international routes can carry a 25 kg suitcase for each passenger. 

Vueling Check-in Policy 

The airline has multiple check-in options for the convenience of the customers. However, there are some guidelines that customers should adhere to for a seamless experience.

• Passengers flying on Fly and Fly Grande on international routes or Optima, family, and Time flex on domestic routes include on-spot seat selection. 
• The fly light bundle on international route or basic fare on domestic route, passengers can enjoy random seat selection depending upon the availability from 7 days or 24 hours in advance. 
• In case if a passenger is unable to check-in online, it is likely that it is a case of overbooking. In this instance, passengers can demand compensation under EC261 policy and receive full-refund under Vueling check-in and refund policy. 
• Passengers arriving less than 40 minutes before the flight departure will be marked as no-show.

Check-in Restrictions 

The airline imposes restrictions on certain bookings who are not eligible for online check-in. 

• Unaccompanied minors are not eligible to check-in online and thus they must check-in at the airport counter. 
• Passengers flying with a pet are not eligible to check-in online. 
• Those who have reserved extra seats must check-in at the airport. 
• The airline does allow online check-in if the reservation is not unconfirmed. 

Vueling Airlines Cancellation Policy  

Those who want to avoid paying cancellation fees on top of the ticket price, can cancel their ticket within 48 hours of making the reservation as per cancellation policy. 

• As per cancellation policy of Vueling Airlines, if the ticket expires then there will be no refund. 
• In order to receive a full refund, customers should cancel their flight within 48 hours of booking it. 
• Passengers with cancellation insurance coverage don’t have to pay any cancellation fee. 
• As per Vueling Cancellation policy, the airline does not charge any cancellation fee in cases of bereavement of passenger’s immediate family, flight cancelled by airline, date change of airline. 

Cancellation Fee 

There are instances when the airline cancels their scheduled flight due to numerous reasons like technical difficulty, shortage of crew, bad weather, or even clearance issues from ATC. 

• As per Vueling cancellation policy, the airline offers compensation as full refund in the original mode of payment that was used to purchase the ticket in the first place. 
• Vueling also offers delayed flight compensation depending on the time of delay. If the flight was delayed for two -four hours then the passengers will get travel credit for future trips.
• If the flight is delayed for more than four hours, the passengers will get a full refund against the flight booking either in form of money or travel credit. 

Vueling Airlines Refund Policy 

• The flight must be cancelled within 48 hours before the scheduled departure to procure a full refund. 
• For refund, passengers must ensure to book the flight from its official sources like the official website, mobile app.
• Passengers with travel insurance can cancel their reservation without any cancellation charges. They can collect their refund in the form of travel credit within 7 business days.  
• Passengers can claim full refund if they have cancelled the  flight due to bereavement of a close family member of the passenger.
