KLM Royal Dutch Airlines was founded on 7th October 1919, it is the oldest operating airline in the world. KLM Airlines Web Check-In

KLM Airlines offers online check in service to its passengers. It is a convenient option and saves a lot of time, also it allows the passengers to check in for their flights from the comfort of their own homes or from any other place where the internet connection is available. Normally, KLM check in online closes 2-3 hours before the scheduled departure time, so make sure to complete the check in procedure within the specified time. Moreover, passengers with special requests or the ones who are travelling with pets need to check-in for their flights at the airport.

• Visit the official website of KLM using a web browser on your computer or mobile device. You can check-in 30-24 hours before your flight’s departure. 
• Select the ‘Check In’ option at the top right of the website’s homepage. 
• Enter the necessary information like ticket number, reservation code, surname and flight number or loyalty programme number to complete the KLM online check in. 
• Review your booking details to make sure they are accurate. 
• During the online check-in process, you can choose your preferred seats depending on the availability and your fare type. 
• After completing the check-in process, you will receive your e-boarding passes, you can either print it or save it on your mobile device to show it at the airport. 
• If you have checked baggage, you can go to the baggage drop off counters at the airport to drop off your luggage. 

KLM Airlines Airport Check-In

There is KLM check in service available at the airport specifically for those passengers who prefer checking in for their flights only at airport counters. This service offers a traditional, in person option to complete the check in process with the assistance of airline staff. Below is all you need to do to check-in for your flights at airport : 

• Arrive at the airport with sufficient time prior to your scheduled departure, especially for the international flights. KLM recommends to its passengers to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before the scheduled departure of your flight. 
• Search for check in KLM counters in the departure terminal of the airport. 
• Go to the check-in desk and present your documents like Passport or an ID issued by the government along with the information of your flight bookings. 
• Provide your booking reference number or the details of your e-ticket to retrieve your reservation to the airline agent. 
• The airline agent will help you with the check-in process. They might ask you your seat preference and will offer you the best available seat and your boarding pass. 
• Go to the boarding gate after completing the check in process and passing through the security check. 

KLM Airlines Mobile Check-In

KLM Airlines offers mobile check in which permits its passengers to check-in for their flights utilising their smartphones. It is a convenient and paperless option. Not only this, KLM mobile application also provides access to other functions, such as flight status updates, manage bookings, trip information and more. In addition, the mobile check-in and web check-in process is more or less the same. 

• Download the KLM Mobile Application from your mobile app store. The app is available for all Android and iOS devices. 
• Once you install the application, you can log in to your account, if you have one to complete KLM check in online or retrieve your booking by entering the information. 
• After accessing your booking, select the flight you want to check in for. 
• Follow the app instructions to complete the check in process. It is possible that you might have the option to select your seats and you will receive your e-boarding pass on your mobile device. 
• Once you have checked in, your e-boarding pass will be available on the application. You can show this boarding pass to the security check at the airport and at the boarding gate. 

KLM Airlines Kiosk Check-In

The self-service check in KLM Kiosks are automated machines located at the airport which permits the passengers to check-in for their flights all by themselves and to print their boarding passes and manage their bookings without the assistance of the airline agents. Keep in mind that the availability of kiosks may vary from one airport to another and the specific details of the flight. Not all the airports where KLM operates can have kiosks, that’s why it is always a great idea to check the official website of the airport to confirm if the self-service check in is available at the departure airport. 

• Find the Self-Service Kiosks in the departure terminal of the airport. The KLM kiosks are located near the check-in counters and are easily identifiable because of the logo and sign of the airline. 
• Start the KLM check in process by entering your booking details like your booking reference (also known as confirmation number) or e-ticket number and the surname of the passenger. 
• Also, depending on the availability and the fare type, you can choose your preferred seats during the check in process at the kiosk. 
• Once the check-in is completed, the kiosk will generate your e-boarding pass. You can get it printed or send it to your mobile device.
