About Aerolineas Argentinas

Whenever you plan to travel with an airline, it’s crucial that you learn about every detail and policy they have to offer. Similar to other airlines, Aerolíneas Argentinas also has a system which assists passengers and makes their journey seamless. The Aerolineas Argentinas baggage policy is also created by the airline, which explains how much luggage is allowed in the cargo and cabin for each passenger.

Aerolineas Argentinas (AR) is the largest airline and major flag carrier of Argentina. It was founded in 1949 due to the merger of four companies. Additionally, it is headquartered in the Aeroparque Jorge Newbery in Buenos Aires. It has a primary hub at the Ministro Pistarini International Airport. As of now, it operates to 58 domestic and international destinations.

Baggage Allowance Policy

Planning to travel with Aerolineas Argentinas? Then before boarding your flight, check out these guidelines explaining Aerolineas Argentinas baggage allowance for a clearer picture.

  • The baggage rule of the airline states that every passenger is allowed to take one piece of carry-on baggage and personal item bag each.
  • The checked baggage allowance will depend upon your flight destination and whether you’re traveling in basic fare or flex fare.
  • You are allowed to carry your pet, provided that you take full responsibility of it and will have to pay certain charges.
  • There is also a baggage allowance system for infants and children.
  • If you wish to carry extra baggage, then you will have to pay extra baggage fees as levied by the airline.

Carry-On Baggage Allowance

  • Carry-on baggage can be taken on board, subject to the space available in the cabin. In case it cannot be carried on board due to operational issues, it will be sent to the hold free of charge, even if it qualifies as checked baggage as regards size and weight.
  • Conversely, if your carry-on baggage does not comply with the maximum amount, size and weight allowed, you will have the chance to send it to the hold of the plane at an extra cost.
  • As per Aerolineas Argentinas baggage policy, you can take a carry-on bag and a personal item in the cabin free of charge, as long as they are included in your fare and they comply with the allowed characteristics, size and weight.
  • The maximum weight allowed for carry-on baggage is:
    • Domestic- 17 lbs
    • International- 22 lbs
  • The dimensions of wheeled or non-wheeled bags must not exceed- 55 x 35 x 25 cm and must fit in the overhead bin or under your seat.
