Air France Carry-On Allowance

Your carry-on allowance depends on the cabin class and the destination. To know more, read the points below:

• Economy Class passengers are allowed to bring 1 hand baggage and 1 personal item.
• Premium Economy, Business, or La Premiere cabin passengers are entitled to bring 2 hand baggage and 1 personal item.
• Only authorized carry-on or personal items are allowed.
• The maximum dimension of your hand baggage must not exceed 55cm×35cm×25cm (L×W×H), including the handles, pockets, and wheels.
• The hang baggage and the personal items in the Economy Class cabin must not exceed 12 kgs.
• If you are traveling in a Premium, Business, or La Premiere cabin, the combined weight of the hand baggage and the personal item should not be more than 18 kg.

Authorized Personal Items

• The authorized personal items on board are 1 bag or 1 satchel or 1 bag for your computer, camera, or any other electronic device.
• The personal item should not be larger than 40cm×30cm×15cm

Air France Checked the Baggage Allowance

The Air France checked baggage allowance depends on the cabin class, fare type, destination, and frequent flyer status.

Checked Baggage Allowance by Travel Cabin

• Economy Cabin passengers are allowed to bring o to 2 checked bags weighing up to 23 kg each.
• Premium Economy Cabin passengers are allowed to bring 2 checked bags weighing up to 23 kg each.
• Business Cabin passengers are allowed to bring o to 2 checked bags weighing up to 32 kg each.

Checked Baggage Allowance for Flying Blue or Skyteam Elite and Elite Plus Members

You are entitled to an additional checked bag free of charge, if you are a Flying Blue Silver, Gold or Platinum, or SkyTeam Elite or Elite Plus Members.

Oversized Baggage Option

• The passenger is required to pay an excess baggage fee if the baggage dimension exceeds 158 cm.
• Baggage items measuring between 158 cm and 300 cm, can be transported.
• If your baggage exceeds 300 cm, visit the airport counter. You may have to pay for the extra luggage.

Air France Baggage Allowance for Infants

• The same baggage allowance for adults will be applicable if your kid is more than 2 years old.
• The total weight of your luggage depends on the cabin class you are traveling in.
• If the infant is not more than 2 year old, a hand baggage up to 12 kg will be permitted on board and the dimension should not exceed 55cm×35cm×25cm
• In the hold, a baggage weighing up to 10 kg, a foldable stroller, a backpack-style baby carrier, or car seat.
• Lite Fare bookings with no baggage option are not allowed to bring the aforementioned items. However, the passenger must incur a fee.
• The stroller dimension should not exceed more than 15cm×30cm×100cm
• If you bring other foldable strollers, that replaces the infant’s hand luggage allowance and its dimension should not exceed more than 55cm×35cm×25cm

Air France Baggage Allowance for Pets

Air France welcomes fur passengers, which means, you are allowed to bring your pets with you on board, except for flights to Canada and the United States.

• The pet must be vaccinated
• All dogs and cats traveling within the European Union must be identified by an electronic chip.
• The total weight of the pet and its cage should not be more than the weight allowed in the hold.

Air France Damaged or Delayed Baggage Policy

In case the airline loses or damages your luggage or your bags arrive late, then the airline is liable to compensate you.

• You must raise a complaint online within 48 hours of arrival or at the airport counter before leaving the airport.
• If your baggage has not been found after 72 hours of your request, you need to fill out the inventory and request forms.
• If your luggage is missing for more than 21 days, the airline will compensate you up to EUR 1,607.
• You must keep all the documents and the damaged luggage until the issue is resolved.
