Business Class Ground Experience

From priority check-in to lounge access, and priority baggage handling, Copa business class passengers are entitled to receive a complete comfort and plush package. The airport lounge of the airline is located in its main hub in Tocumen International Airport. Although you may not enjoy the features of the lounge, the foods are basic snacks packaged with bread toast. However, you can visit the bar to grab some liquor while waiting for your flight.

Dedicated Check-in Desk

Copa Business class passengers have a dedicated check-in counter and security-lane for them, where they can easily complete the formalities without having to stand in a queue. For international passengers on business class, the immigration service is well-taken care of by the airline, so that you don’t have to stand in line.

Cancellation & Refund Policy for Business Class Passengers

If due to any reasons, you need to cancel your flight, check Copa Airlines cancellation and refund policy, and see if you are eligible for any refund or free cancellation or not.

• A Copa Business Class Ticket allows you to make some changes in your reservation free of cost if you cancel the ticket within 24 hours of booking.
• If you cancel the flight after 24 hours, you will be required to pay between $100 to $400 as a cancellation fee.
• If you make any changes to your reservation, including canceling the service, you have to pay a fine.
• Refundable tickets will be fully compensated in case of cancellation.
• Business Full tickets are refundable.
• Business Promo tickets are non-refundable.

Flight Change Policy for Business Class Passengers

• Only the Business class ticketed passengers are allowed to make changes even on the same day of flight departure. 
• As per Copa Airlines flight change policy, passengers can make name changes free of cost, within 24 hours of flight reservation. 
• Prior to 24 hours of booking, they will be asked to pay a change fee, depending upon the fare type and the number of changes they make.
• To change the name, you must have a valid ticket purchased and might also be required to show your legitimate passport for easy changes.
• If you make changes in the name field, the airline will reissue the ticket.
• Passengers can make name changes by any method (Online or offline). However, Copa Airlines suggests you to always use the online approach because it will save you money on service fees.

OnBoarding

Copa offers a separate boarding lane for business class flight passengers. Hence, you don’t have to wait in the line to board the flight and instead hop on the flight early and settle yourself in your cabin comfortably.

In-Flight Experience

Cabin & Seat

Copa’s has a fleet size of 82 aircraft, mostly Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737 MAX, all in a 2-2 narrowbody configuration. After making the reservation, it is better to select your seat through Copa’s online seat map.

Copa’s frequent business class flyers prefer to board Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft, as it offers more space and privacy to its guests. Copa calls the seats ‘Dreams’, which comes with power outlets, a 16” touch screen monitor, and the seat reclines and can be turned into a flatbed.

In addition, Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737 MAX 9 have 16 seats in business class, and Boeing 737-700 has 12 business class seats. With 16 seats, comes maximum privacy and comfort.

Long-haul flights are operated by Copa’s Boeing 737, which connects Panama with South American cities, and European cities like Cordoba, and Santiago. In long duration, Copa provides ultimate privacy and comfort to its business class passengers, with ample room to stretch their legs, lay down, and direct access to the aisle. Business class seats on long-haul flights offer a duvet as well.

Amenities & Facilities

Copa provides courtesy kits to its business class passengers, which include toiletry items and bottled water. The amenity kits basically contain simple toiletries, eye shades, and socks. On Dream Business class cabins, passengers are given soft pillows and blankets. Families traveling with infants must inform the airline for bassinet.

Dine-in Experience

Meal service, including red wine, white wine, and sparkling wine, are offered only on international flights. If you are seated in a business class cabin on international flights, your meal will begin with a beverage of your choice along with a bowl of mixed nuts. For starters, you will be served appetizer, salad, and bread. This is soon followed by the main course, which includes your choice of dishes. The main course comprises mainly chicken, beef, and seafood. However, if you are a vegan or vegetarian, inform the airline 24-hours before the flight’s departure.

Entertainment

If you are flying on a Boeing 737 MAX 9 flight, you will have access to a 16” touchscreen monitor, where you can watch your favorite shows and programs. On other aircraft, the airline pre-set the shows. On some specific flights and routes, Copa offers wifi, which is popularly known as Copa Showpass. But it only offers streaming videos and music, with no internet connectivity.

Deboarding

Copa Airlines business class passengers are allowed priority disembarkation upon landing in their original destination. You do not have to wait longer to receive your luggage, as Copa personally handles your baggage.
