As per Aeroflot unaccompanied minor policy, the unaccompanied minor service is mandatory for children between the age of 5 – 12 years old who are travelling alone without the supervision of parents. Parents can request service as per Aeroflot minor policy can be availed to children up to 12-16 years old.

• As per the airline regulations, unaccompanied minors are not allowed to check-in via online method which includes web check-in and mobile check-in. 
• The airline advises the parents or legal guardians to reach the airport at least 2 hours before the scheduled departure of flight to complete check-in formalities at the Aeroflot check-in counter. 
• Parents or legal guardians should take prior consent for the travel of unaccompanied minors from the airline. 
• As per Aeroflot policy for unaccompanied minors, parents or legal guardians accompanying the child must remain at the airport even after the departure of the flight to ensure that there is no reroute or cancellation. 
• The parents must provide a mandatory unaccompanied minors Aeroflot  form with necessary details including phone number, address, and details about the person picking up the child at the destination airport. 
• If a minor is leaving the Russian Federation unaccompanied, then the child must carry a notarized consent from their parents along with a passport. 

Aeroflot Unaccompanied Minor Rules 

• Children aged between 0-5 years may only travel if they are accompanied by a parent or adult passenger. 
• In this case, the airline may upgrade the seat from their present travel class of one teh family member accompanying the child under 2 years without separate seat provided. 
• As per Aeroflot unaccompanied minor policy, the airline should be informed beforehand about the person accompanying a child of less than 2 years, so that airline can make necessary arrangements. 
• The child’s age will be determined as of the date commencement of transportation from the point of departure by the Airport and airline authority.

Inflight Entertainment 

The airline offers a wide variety of child-friendly tv shows, audio and  games. Furthermore, as per Aeroflot policy on unaccompanied minors, children can also enjoy entertainment programmes including animated cartoons, feature films, music and a few books. 

• Parents can avail children activity packs which are available to all cabin classes on all Aeroflot flights. 
• The 0+ pack includes a children’s picture book, a soft jigsaw puzzle, and packed wet wipes.

Children’s Meal  

Aeroflot flights lasting for more than 3 hours, adults accompanying the children will be served meals at a convenient time. Parents can also pre book a child-friendly meal at least 24 hours before the flight. As mentioned in Aeroflot minors policy, special meals can be tailored depending on the certain preferences, medical conditions. 

Bassinets and Changing Tables 

Passengers travelling with children under 1 years of age and weighing no more than 11 kg can use the bassinets available in the aircraft. However, passengers must raise the request for the use of bassinets on board at least 36 hours before the flight by contacting the airline customer support number. 

The airlines will add bassinets seats for the reserved passengers at the 24 hours before the flights are prepared. 

Pushchair. Chair Seats, Baby Carrier, Restricting System for Children 

In addition to free baggage, passengers are entitled to carry pushchairs, chair seats or bassinets for free of charge as per unaccompanied minor Aeroflot Airlines. However, the airline advises passengers to follow the dimension of the items to avoid paying surcharges. 

• Pushchair with maximum dimension : 42 x 50 x 20 cm. 
• Bassinets (soft carrier) with maximum dimension : 70 x 37 x 21 cm. 
• Baby front/ hip carrier, child restraining devices for flights : 45 x 45 cm. 

Documents Required for Aeroflot Unaccompanied Minor 

Parents or adults travelling with minors must ensure to carry all the necessary documents as per the requirements mentioned in the Aeroflot unaccompanied minor policy. Parents or the accompanying person all be responsible for compliance with all the laws of the countries of departure and arrival. 

• As per Aeroflot unaccompanied minor policy, minors travelling outside the Russian Federation may travel abroad in accordance with Russian Laws. 
• Minor must carry their Photo ID proof such as passport at the check-in counter. 
• Legal guardians or parents must provide contact numbers of the person dropping and picking up the minors at the airport. 
• Also, parents must ensure to carry health certificates and other documents in accordance with the rules of other destination countries. 

Aeroflot Child Safety Onboard Rules 

The airline advises the parents to prepare the child with necessary information like details of itinerary, phone number of parents along with instructions to follow the airline staff only. 

• As per Aeroflot policy on unaccompanied minors, passengers travelling with children aged between 0-12 years cannot sit on the emergency exit row. 
• For infants under 2 years travelling in lap must be secured with a separate child safety belt attached to passengers belt. 
• As per Aeroflot policy for unaccompanied minors, an adult can only carry one infant under 2 years. 
• When placed in bassinets, infants should have its feet facing the aisle. Also,during the takeoff, the child should be outside the bassinet. 

Aeroflot Unaccompanied Minor Fees 

As per unaccompanied minor policy of Aeroflot, any unaccompanied minor must be reserved on an adult fare. The unaccompanied minor service cost may range between 3000 Rubles to 40 EUR for direct flights. For connecting flights with another Sky Team, the Aeroflot unaccompanied minor fee will depend on the partnered airline. 

• For domestic flights within Russia, the unaccompanied minor fee could be 3400 Rubles. 
• For international flights, the unaccompanied minor fee will be around 40 EUR. 
• In case of long-haul flights, the airline offers additional service applicable on charges. On connecting flights, the airline will offer beverages like tea, soft drinks and coffee on surcharge of 5 EUR. 
• For Hot meals, passengers will have to pay 20 EUR if the connecting flight is up to 6 hours.
