About Fiji Airways

Fiji Airways (FJ) is a low-cost flag carrier that started to commence its operations on 1 September 1951. Fiji was founded in 1947 by Harold Gatt, an Australian aviator. Formerly named as ‘Air Pacific’, it was later traded as ‘Fiji Airways’ after the demise of Gatty. After being acquired by Qantas in 1958, this regional airline extended its network to 108 international destinations.
