United Airlines Web Check-In / Online Check-In

• Passengers can check-in online for their flights through the official website and the mobile application of the airline. 
• The online check-in process starts 24 hours and ends 60 minutes before the scheduled flight’s departure (depending on the departure city and the destination). 
• To complete the check-in process through the website, you have to visit the official website of United Airlines, enter your confirmation number, e-ticket number and surname. 
• You can also log in with your ‘MileagePlus’ account credentials to complete the United Airlines check in online process. For international travel, first, scan your passport and then check-in.
• If you want to check-in through the mobile app, you have to download United Airlines mobile application from the App Store or Google Play Store, select ‘check-in’ and enter your confirmation number, e-ticket number and surname. For international travel, you can scan your passport using the app.
• After you complete the check-in, you will receive a mobile boarding pass on your mobile device and a printable boarding pass. If you have a checked bag, you have to drop it off at the airline baggage drop-off counter before your flight’s check-in deadline.

You can easily avail United Airlines web check in and online check-in services if : 

• You have an e-ticket and your first flight is with United Airlines
• You can access your booking with your confirmation code, e-ticket number or frequent flyer account. 
• You are not a passenger with special needs like an unaccompanied minor or if you are not traveling with pets. 

Note : If you are departing from an airport that doesn’t accept mobile boarding passes, you can check-in and print your boarding pass at a self service check-in kiosk or at the airport check-in counter. 

United Airlines Airport Check-In

When you book your flights with United Airlines, remember that it offers two ways of checking-in at the airport, therefore, you can choose either self-service check-in kiosks or airline’s check-in counters to complete the check-in United Airlines process. United Airlines Self-Service Kiosk Check In

• You have to go to the kiosk machine, complete the check-in process, download your boarding pass and check-in your bags. If necessary, you can connect with the airline agents. 
• You can also check in bags online through the mobile application of United Airlines and then, drop off your bag at the drop-off baggage area where an agent will tag your bag.

United Airlines Airport check-in counters

• You can complete the check in United at the airport counter if you don’t prefer trying other modes. The check-in at the airport starts 3 hours and ends 30 minutes before the scheduled departure of flight (depending on the departure city and the destination). 
• Don’t forget to bring necessary documents like passport, visa, driving license, etc. In addition, check-in counters and United Kiosks machines in some airports don’t accept cash as a form of payment, so it’s best if you fly with your credit card.

United Airlines Curbside Check-In

• You can easily utilize the curbside check-in service for your United Airlines flights at most U.S. airport locations from 4 hours to 40 minutes before the scheduled departure of flight (depending on the departure city and the destination).  
• You have to provide your photo id along with your flight booking code, flight number or e-ticket number to check-in. 

United Airlines Auto Check-In

• When you check-in for the first segment of your flight, if your itinerary is eligible, you will be given the option to select United Airlines Self Check In for the remaining segment or a return flight.
• When the remaining segment or the departure of the return flight is within the 24-hour period, Self Check-In will take the necessary steps to register you for the flight.
• When you select this service, you can choose the option to receive your boarding pass via email or mobile device (where applicable), or you can also print it at an airport kiosk.

United Airlines Flight check-in deadline 

• The minimum United Airlines Check In time is 30- 60 minutes before the scheduled departure time for U.S. domestic flights and international flights to/from the United States.
• The suggested arrival time is 1- 2 hours before the scheduled departure time for U.S. domestic flights and international flights to/from the United States.
• The minimum time for checking in with a carry-on bag is from 30 – 60 minutes and with a checked bag, it is from 45-60 minutes before the scheduled departure time for U.S. domestic flights and international flights to/from the United States.
• Keep in mind that some domestic cities of the United States have a minimum check-in United Airlines time of 45 minutes and some non-U.S. cities have minimum check-in times of 75 to 90 minutes.
