The VivaAerobus 24 hours cancellation policy is applied to all types of tickets, which means you can cancel your reservation within 24 hours from the time of booking and are eligible to receive a refund. Furthermore, it is advisable to understand the following points before canceling your flight:

Under VivaAerobus 24 hour cancellation policy, if a passenger cancels a flight booked on VivaAerobus within 24 hours of the purchase then VivaAerobus will offer a full refund of your ticket cost in case the booking was made a week or more prior to the departure date of your VIvaAerobus flight. 

VivaAerobus Cancellation Policy for Refundable and Non-Refundable Tickets

If you have a refundable or non-refundable flight ticket, the cancellation policy depends on various circumstances:

• VivaAerobus offers free cancellation until the end of the risk-free period for all types of tickets.
• Once the risk-free period has expired, non-refundable tickets are not entitled for any refund.
• When you cancel your refundable or non-refundable ticket three days before the departure, you have to pay a penalty for it.
• If the airline cancels or delays your flights or denies you boarding, you will receive a complete refund, irrespective of the type of ticket you have.

How to Get Compensation in case of Flight Delay or Cancellation?

• If the flight is canceled and you are informed about the same prior 24 hours of the scheduled departure then you are eligible to receive compensation for your ticket.
• If your flight gets delayed for more than 4 hours, then the airline will provide you meals with no charge. 
• If your domestic flight has kept you waiting for more than 6 hours, then the airline must communicate a rescheduled time for the alternate flights.
• The airline will also have to offer alternate flights to you within a period of 6 hours or either pay you full compensation for your ticket.

How to Cancel a VivaAerobus Flight?

Without any hassles, you can easily cancel your VivaAerobus flight by simply visiting the airline’s official website or at the airport’s ticket counter. Below are the few steps which you need to follow:

Cancel Flight Ticket Online

Visit the official website of VivaAerobus. The requirement for VivaAerobus flight cancellation is a  six-character confirmation. To know this six-character number you can check your booking confirmation email.

• On the Manage booking page, you need to enter the last name in the passenger’s data finder. 
• Then, click on the change or cancel trip next to the flight itinerary.
• Select the flight you want to cancel.
• Before proceeding further, first, you have to review the VivaAerobus cancellation policy. The next page will take you to the flight refund cancellation.
• Select “Confirm my Cancellation”.
• Once you Confirm, You will receive a confirmation mail regarding the cancellation.

Cancel Flight Ticket Offline

• Visit the VivaAerobus counter at the airport or call 1-888-974-1691.
• Once you call the VivaAerobus customer support, select the language which suits you the best.
• Give the information asked by the agent such as user name, ticket number and other information to verify you.
• Select the trip you want to cancel.
• Select a payment method if you are required to pay a cancellation fee for VivaAerobus flights.
• After that, the airline will send a confirmation mail regarding the cancellation.

VivaAerobus Cancellation Fee

Passengers of VivaAerobus flights have to pay MXN $80 as a cancellation fee, if they cancel the flight after 24 hours of booking. If you cancel your flight between 4 and 24 hours before the scheduled departure, then you have to pay MXN $110.

VivaAerobus Refund Policy

• The passenger is eligible to claim a full refund for a flexible or premium ticket.
• After the 24 hours free cancellation period gets over, non-refundable tickets will not be entertained with any refund.
• Refunds will be credited to the original mode of payment within ten days of cancellation.
• In case your flight is delayed or rescheduled for more than 3 hours, then you are eligible to claim a refund.

• Enter your log-in information to sign in to your account.
• Click the ‘Manage My Booking’ option.
• Enter your cancel booking information
• Open your canceled ticket
• Go to the bottom of the page, where you will find the ‘Refund’ option
• Click on it and fill in all the required information 
• Apply for a refund.
