  • Cathay Pacific has a total of four business class lounges in Hong Kong, although only two are open at present: The Wing, Business In Terminal 1 (near gates 1-4) and The Pier, Business in Terminal 1 near gate 65. 
  • In these lounges, guests will get access to hall-style dining with a focus on Chinese comfort food, a tea house where fine tea specialists help loungers select the ideal brew, a noodle bar, and coffee cart. 
  • For North America, Cathay Pacific operates its own lounges in San Francisco and Vancouver. In U.S. locations : Chicago, New York, Boston, and Los Angeles, passengers have access to oneworld Business Class lounges. A third party lounge is also available at Toronto Pearson International Airport..

Baggage Allowance 

Cabin Baggage 

You are allowed to take one piece of carry-on luggage of 22 lbs and one additional personal item, which may include small handbags, laptop bags, small backpacks, camera bags or briefcases. You can also carry other necessary items such as a small camera or a walking stick in the cabin for free. 

Checked Baggage 

Your checked baggage allowance will depend upon the destination you’re flying to and you can check it at the official website in the “manage booking” section. However, you are allowed two free of cost checked baggage that must weigh up to 70 lbs in weight and 158 cm in dimensions. 

Additional Baggage 

Business Class flight ticket holders are also entitled to additional pieces of baggage. Each of these bags can weigh up to 70 pounds and must fit the dimensions of 158 cm.  Any baggage over 158cm (up to maximum of 203cm ) in total dimension will be subject to an oversize charge.

Baggage Allowance For Infants and Children 

As per Cathay Pacific baggage policy, infants (under 2 years of age), are entitled to 1 piece of standard bag, not weighing more than 50 lbs. Children aged 2 and above, will have the same baggage allowance as that of adults. 

Flight Cancellation 

Similar to all other cabin classes, Business Class guests can also cancel the flight for free, provided they do so within 24 hours of booking. Prior to that a cancellation fee will be applied. Cathay Pacific cancellation fee always remains USD 150, irrespective of the type of the ticket. Since, Business Class tickets are refundable, after the deduction of  fee, the remaining fare balance will be refunded.

Flight Change

As per Cathay Pacific flight change policy, you won’t have to pay a change fee if your ticket is changed before 31st December 2022 and you must travel before 31st December 2023. The policy remains the same for all cabin classes. 

Onboarding

  • With Cathay Pacific Business Class, you have an option to priority check-in. The airline has dedicated counters for this cabin class. While Cathay Pacific doesn’t offer a chauffeur service for business class passengers, you’ll have access to your own check-in counter, expediting the entire process.
  • Business class guests are also provided priority boarding and an advantage to get seated before Economy Class passengers. 
  • As a Business Class passenger, you will also have access to dedicated security lanes made specially for Business and First Class. This way your screening and security checking process will be much faster as compared to Economy class individuals.

Cabin & Seat

  • With two business class seats in the center and one each by the window, Cathay’s new curved design makes you feel like there’s no one near you at all. It will grant you a level of privacy than what is possible in a side-by-side seat configuration.
  • Your head will point towards the aisle cradled by a tall, tough screen that creates a topless cocoon. The newly designed reverse herringbone seats configuration works surprisingly well.
  • The seat pan is 21 inches wide, and it unfolds to a length of 82 inches in its lie-flat configuration.
  • The seat also contains AC and USB jacks so you can charge your gadgets, a lamp that will make reading an easy task, and a storage cubby that will allow you easy access to your belongings.    
  • The extra-wide cabins of our A350 aircraft feature intelligent lighting and reduced noise, allowing you to sleep more soundly, while better levels of cabin pressure and humidity help reduce jet lag.
  • Each Cathay Pacific Business Class passenger seat has an additional side storage, a dedicated space for a water bottle under the armrest, a netted pocket inside the cabinet door for precious items, and the under-ottoman for shoes and bags. 

Here’s how seating is managed in different fleets of Cathay Pacific: 

  • A330: The A330 is configured for both long haul and regional business class services. The long haul configuration has lie-flat seats in a 1-2-1 configuration; regional business class has recliner seats in a 2-2-2 configuration. There are multiple configurations with varying numbers of business class seats. 
  • A350: The A350 is configured for long haul business class services, with lie-flat seats in a 1-2-1 configuration. 
  • 777-300: The 777-300 is configured for both long haul and regional business class services. The long haul configuration has lie-flat seats in a 1-2-1 configuration; regional business class has recliner seats in a 2-3-2 configuration. 

Amenities & Facilities 

  • The business class flight section comes with a number of amenities to ensure you get utmost comfort in-flight. First, you’ll receive a pair of noise-canceling headphones, which will help maximize your enjoyment of on-board entertainment offerings.
