Volaris Flight Check In

Online Check-In / Web Check-In

• Volaris permits its passengers to check in online for their flights from 72 hours to 1 hour before the departure of their domestic flights and from 24 hours to 1 hour before the departure of their international flights. 
• Keep in mind that passengers need to have their travel documents and applicable flight information to complete the Volaris online check in process. 
• Passengers must have a confirmed e-ticket and an eligible travel document and they must be passengers that don’t require special services like (unaccompanied minors, disabled minors). Also, they must not travel with pets and babies. 
• Passengers must arrive early at the airport to go through security and drop their baggage.
• In order to check-in online, passengers have to visit volaris.com and navigate the online check-in link on the homepage. Then, they have to enter the flight reservation code and passenger’s surname to access the booking. 
• After that, they have to select the flight segment and the name of the passenger who wants to check in and they must comply with the Volaris web check-in policy requirements. 
• Next, they have to check the seats availability and select the seat according to their requirements. Then they can add food and special services if needed. 
• After confirming the seat, they can download their boarding passes or print it. 

Mobile Check-In

• Apart from web check-in, passengers can also check-in for their flights through the official booking application of Volaris. They can easily download the app on their smartphones or tablets. 
• Mobile check-in process is very simple, only they have to open the app on their devices and click the ‘Check-In’ button. 
• Then enter the surname and the booking reference in the required field and select the flight and enter the passenger’s name who wants to complete the Volaris Check In process. 
• After this, they can easily select their seats and other additional services such as food, snacks, drinks, additional baggage , etc. 
• Finally, check your flight itinerary and tap to generate the boarding passes. 

Kiosk Check-In

Kiosk check-in is a convenient way of completing the check-in process. Passengers can check-in for their flights using the Volaris kiosks located at all airports in Mexico and selected airports in international destinations. The steps of checking-in through kiosks are easy and rapid, read below to know more : 

• At the kiosk, enter the Volaris reference or the ticket number. 
• Select the flight segments and the passengers who want to check-in for their flights.
• At the end, a seat map will be shown, passengers have to select their seats and all the additional services they want to add. Then they can get their boarding passes. 

Check-In through customer service number

Passengers can check-in for their flights by calling the customer service number of Volaris. The airline will charge the service fee in addition to the handling charges. All you need to do is : 

• Have the booking reference or ticket number handy as you connect with one of the airline’s representatives. 
• Let the representative know your seat preference and special service request that you want to add. 
• Pay the fee over the phone with your credit/debit card. 
• The airline will send you the boarding pass to your registered email address. 

WhatsApp Check-In

Airport Check-In

• If you are unable to complete the online check-in process, you can easily complete the check-in at the airport. 
• Volaris has individual counters for Economy, Premium Economy and Business Class at most airports. All the passengers must arrive at the airport at least 1 hour before the scheduled departure of your flight. 
• Keep in mind that Volaris airport check in kiosks are available in some airports. Without having to wait in long queues at the main check in counter, you can quickly check in at the kiosks and go straight to security.

Note : 

• Check-in counters will open for the check-in process from 48 hours to 1 hour before the flight departure. Also : 
• For all the flights departing 1 hour before the scheduled departure time, the check-in counters will remain opened. 
• In certain airports, because of safety measures and protocols, the local authorities can determine the opening and closing time of the boarding gate. 
• The boarding gate closes 20 minutes before the scheduled departure of your domestic flights and 60 minutes for the international flights. 
• If a passenger arrives late at the check-in counter or at the boarding gate or doesn’t bring his/her appropriate travel documents, the airline has the right to cancel the flight booking of that passenger according to the cancellation policy and the airline is not responsible for any loss. 

Volaris Check-In Fee

According to the Volaris Check In policy, the airline doesn’t charge any fee for online check-in or completing the checking in process through the mobile app. However, the airline charges a service fee if you request flight check in at the airport or through the airline’s customer service number.
