Finnair Cancellation Policy for Different Class

Economy Class

Finnair offers three different categories within Economy. The category includes- Light, Classic and Flex.

Premium Class 

Finnair offers premium economy class to customers which comes with better amenities than economy class. The cancellation and refund of premium economy depends on the type of fare that you have purchased : Light, Classic, Flex. 

  • For Premium Light tickets, the airline does not offer any refund in this class.  
  • For Premium Classic tickets, the airlines will provide refunds for a fee only for flights originating from Japan. 
  • For Premium Flex tickets, the airlines will provide full-refund against the fare purchased. 

Business Class 

This fare is the most premium class offered by the airlines. The business class is full-furnished by the latest amenities to maximise the experience of travel onboard. As per Finnair Cancellation and Refund Policy, the airline allows its customers to cancel and receive refunds in business class. However, the refund in business class also depends on the fare you have purchased which includes : Light, Classic, Flex. 

  • In Business Class Light, Finnair does not provide any refund.

Finnair Compensation for Delay or Cancellation 

There are certain criteria for customers before requesting a compensation refund. Under EU261, airlines have to offer delay compensation if the delay exceeds three hours and the reason for delay was under airlines control like technical glitch or scheduling mishap. As per Finnair refund policy, the value of delayed flight compensation is derived from flight’s distance. 

Delay Compensation 

  • For flights flying less than 1,500 km, you are eligible to receive €250.

Cancellation Compensation

Online Method

  • Visit the official website of the Finnair Airlines. Enter your credentials and login to your account.
